Chai Latte: Meet the Ingredients of Latika

Think creamy… Think robust… Think fragrant…Think Latika Chai Latte.

What makes our Chai Latte so special? Meet the ingredients:

Starting with a base of finely ground exotic Assam black tea from India, this blend is set to satisfy the taste buds from the get-go. But we would never stop there! We’ve then infused this warming wonder with a bold blend of stone ground Indian spices (ginger, cardamom, cinnamon and clove) to give it an extra tasty kick. With a splash of creamy milk and a sprinkle of sweetness, this little number is the perfect combination of naughty and nice that will transport you to warm, exotic lands.

As autumn approaches and the cool nights creep in, our bodies can become more susceptible to illness. Luckily this is something black tea can help prevent.

The Awesome nature of Black Tea: Black tea contains alkylamine antigens and tannins; both these help boost our immuneresponse, helping our bodies battle any nasties. Black tea also contains polyphenols, which are strong antioxidants (1). Antioxidants help fight free radicals, which are thought to advance disease progression. These antioxidants can also help prevent DNA damage associated with tobacco or other toxic chemicals.

The spices we use in Latika Chai not only charm the palette but are healthy too!

Ginger is an anti-inflammatory spice that is great for immune strength and healthy digestion.

Cinnamon helps balance sugar levels, staving off those sneaky cravings. It has also been associated with fat burning and helping diabetics.

Cardamom is fantastic for anyone with respiratory problems, as well as being anti-inflammatory and a natural diuretic.

Last, but certainly not least, Clove is a natural antiseptic and antibiotic that aids with healthy digestion (2).

So stock up on this warm treat and indulge in a (few) delicious cup(s) of Latika Chai Latte, guilt free! After all, you’re simply warding off the lurgies, right?

As with all our teas, Latika Chai Latte is stone ground – meaning you consume 80-90% more flavour and nutrition than with loose or bagged teas. Latika Chai Latte is vegetarian, gluten free and has no artificial colours, flavours, preservatives or sweeteners.
